CSOP enters RQFII ETF market
CSOP Asset Management, the Hong Kong affiliate of China Southern Asset Management, has received approval from the Securities & Futures Commission (SFC) to launch its FTSE China A50 ETF RQFII product, according to a report from the Securities Times on Friday (August 17).
CSOP Asset Management’s RQFII ETF index product is the first of its kind since China AMC launched its CSI 300 ETF on July 17.
A spokesperson for CSOP noted that several overseas institutional investors have already expressed an interest in subscribing and notes that the quota is expected to be filled up shortly.
So far, the Chinese regulator has granted RQFII ETF licenses to the subsidiaries of the following four Chinese asset managers: China AMC, Harvest, China Southern and E Fund.
